Howard Schultz criticized for – among other things – not knowing how much Cheerios cost

Presidential candidates often try to show that they're just like regular folks, so one talk-show host on Wednesday had a test for Howard Schultz.

"How much does an 18-ounce box of Cheerios costs?" asked Mika Brzezinski, the co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program, referring to the General Mills brand that is reportedly the No. 1–selling breakfast cereal in the U.S.

Schultz, the former Starbucks CEO who is considering a 2020 run as an independent, didn't even try to guess as he gave the following response:

"I don't know. I don't eat Cheerios."
